I made these for a cupcakes for a bake sale at work to help raise money and awareness for women’s cancers. I used a chocolate cake mix for the cupcakes and tried a new buttercream recipe for the icing which i tinted a light pink. I used a bit less icing per cupcake than my last ones and I think it was a better ratio overall.
The ribbons are made with royal icing that was tinted a bit darker pink. I tried to match it to the actual breast cancer ribbon color and I think it’s pretty close! They sold out quickly so that was nice :).
These were fun to make, as cupcakes usually are, but I think I overstretched myself that week. The next day I was set to make a soccer ball cake for a good friend of mine (my first official cake order! post to come soon) so I had a lot to do!
